Many people fall for the 'low crime rate' hype put out by the NZ government and tourism companies. Consequently a lot of people let down their guard when visiting the country and get taken advantage of as a result. It's shameful really.&lt;br&gt;

When someone dies in an already physically and somewhat emotionally divided one, the cracks are all the more gigantic.  &lt;br&gt;
You are right Lois, it was both cathartic and heartbreaking.&lt;br&gt;
At the root of it was, I think, that it was terribly hard for 'younger sister' to have been nursing Mum one minute and watching her brothers filling skips less than a week later. &lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Let's hope they all are grown up enough to remember their families when they return to their various parts of the world and to think of their children who all need cousins.&lt;br&gt;

Grief can bring out the worst, as well as the best, in families.
